What would you pay for a semi-modular synthesizer that supports both subtractive synthesis and frequency modulation synthesis? One that has been called a masterpiece, and one of the best soft synths available?

Amazingly, Green Oak’s Crystal synth is still available at no cost. If you haven’t tried it, it’s worth checking out. I’ve worked with it on several tracks, and it’s a powerful synth comparable to the best soft synths that are available. The fact that this is a free synth is simply amazing!

Crystal is a plugin that works within hosts such as Cubase, Logic, or Sonar. It has flexible modulation control, multi-stage envelopes, tempo sync of envelopes, LFO’s, and delay times. It even has built in chorus, flanging and delay.

Download Crystal at Green Oak’s site.
