Evolution
Evolution Electronics is a UK based manufacturer of software and hardware products for the computer musician. Their products include USB Keyboard controllers for computer musicians, hardware interfaces for software synthesizers and sequencers, and even DJ software controllers.
Founded in 1985 by Richard Watts, the company released the EVS-1 synthesizer in 1986, a synth that quickly achieved cult status. After years of successful design work for a string of well-known companies, Evolution released the MK-149 keyboard, its first own brand computer music product.
The Evolution UC-33e is one of their more interesting controllers. It supports control of 47 parameters simultaneously with faders, knobs and keypads. This makes it a great addition to a software studio because it complements and augments MIDI keyboards.
Today the Evolution range consists of 9 own brand products distributed in 39 countries around the world.
