Cherry Bikini, an electronica duo that specializes in sexually-charged songs, has released their second CD, Dream Days. Their site features several free MP3 downloads, including FU** Toy and Disco Party, to promote the CD.
The CD’s 11 songs showcase the duo’s trademark hardcore sound: catchy electro-pop hooks, X-rated lyrics, and “club-friendly” beats.
Currently based out of California, Cherry Bikini is made up of Sophie Boscallini and Armand Abagliani, right. Read more about Sophie and Armand in their recent Synthtopia interview.
The adult content of the first album gained the band an underground following. Their saucy song Just Fuck Me was the most downloaded song on Amazon.com during 2003. Further success followed when the duo’s song What I Like appeared on a Bad Gurrlz compilation album alongside the likes of Peaches.
Pushing sextronica farther than most bands dare, Cherry Bikini’s new CD Dream Days offers up a more stylish, fuller sound than their first CD, without compromising their catchy electro hooks. Songs like Disco Party and Sex and Sunshine target the feel-good vibes of summer, while Fucktoy proves that Cherry Bikini still has a unique way with words.
Dream Days is written for fans of modern electro-pop. Written, performed, recorded, and produced by the duo, the CD is available for purchase through their site.
