Namm – Numark Introduces Audio/Video Mixer

Numark DJ Mixer

At the NAMM 2004 Summer Session, Numark introduced a combination audio and video mixer designed for DJs and music production. The AVM01 uniquely incorporates both audio and video mixing in one stand-alone unit that can be either rack mounted or used on a table top.

Two separate cross-faders, one for audio and one for video, allow the user to mix audio and video separate from each other. The AVM01 provides professional audio/video effects. Video mixing options include fades, 96 wipe patterns, picture-in-picture, along with chroma key (blue screen), and luma screen (black screen) capability for superimposing images. There are two video effect sections with mosaic, strobe, freeze, paint and invert, which allow for multiple simultaneous effects. With its easy to use joystick, wipes and picture-in-picture effects are simpler to control than ever before.

Other key features include: ten background color options, four video channels with two composite and two S-video inputs (hook up your camera, DVD or VCR), two S-video and two composite outputs, four video monitor outputs, three stereo audio inputs and one mic input with audio cueing section and headphone output, two stereo main audio outputs and a universal power supply.

Numark President John ‘Jack’ E. O’Donnell commented: “The AVM01 is an innovative product that is an amazing value. This is a sophisticated audio/video mixer with comprehensive features designed specifically for DJ’s wishing to incorporate video into their performance.”
