Edirol FA-101 Now Supports Mac OS 9

Edirol FA-101Edirol has announced Mac OS 9 support for the FA-101, 10×10 FireWire Audio Interface. This driver set includes ASIO2.0, OMS, & FreeMIDI support on Apple computers running Mac OS 9. With OS 9 and OS X support, the FA-101 now offers low-latency, high fidelity, multi-channel audio support to essentially all Mac users.

On Mac OS X, the FA-101 is the only FireWire Audio interface to use Apple’s Standard FireWire Audio driver offering complete integration into Mac OS X 10.3.4 or later. Apple has recently further refined this driver with the release of Mac OS X 10.3.7.

About the FA-101

The FA-101 is a single half-rack 10×10, 24-bit/96kHz audio interface capable of drawing power directly from a 6-pin FireWire port for optimum portability. It can also record up to 6×6 at 24-bit/192kHz. It offers 8×8 analog I/O with two phantom mic preamps, Stereo Optical S/P DIF I/O, MIDI I/O, and 1/4″ headphone output with built in direct through mixing capabilities for low latency monitoring. The FA-101 offers an incredible 108 d B S:N on output. It is designed to offer the most important tools for multitrack recording to mobile musicians and sound artists.
