Peavey Rotor EXNAMM 2005: Peavey has introduced the Rotor EX, a high-output, modern metal guitar combining a retro, angular body with high-end components and exclusive Peavey design technology.

The Rotor is constructed using mahogany for the body and neck and a rosewood fretboard. A double-locking, Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo gives rock and metal guitar players clearance to explore the Rotor with dive-bombing riffs and soaring leads.

Two extra-hot Peavey humbucking pickups give the Rotor its metal tone, with a ceramic magnet design for powerful ouput and biting edge. In addition, the Rotor features a six-in-line headstock; 24 jumbo frets; deep inset jack; two volume knobs; one tone knob; and a three-way, toggle-style pickup selector. Also standard on the Rotor are stylish block inlays, gloss black hardware and white binding that tracks around the entire body and neck.

Proximity Effect LisaThe Peavey Rotor guitar is also the focal point of Proximity Effect, a ground-breaking comic produced by Top Cow Comics, the publisher responsible for cross-format smashes Tomb Raider/Lara Croft and Witchblade. The Rotor is the musical weapon of choice of Lisa Torres, a vagabond rock guitarist and main character of the comic. The first two issues of Proximity Effect are available free at http://www.proximity-effect.com.
