NAMM 2005: Alesis has introduced the Photon X49, which further expands the USB/MIDI Keyboard controller series, the Photon 25 and X25. The intuitive user interface is completely assignable and features silky smooth high-resolution knobs and faders. These assigned presets can then be stored for future use.
The AXYZ effects dome controls plug-ins and instruments parameters from your hand movements in three dimensions. Dedicated transport buttons, high-resolution LCD, 10-key control pad allow for mouse–free operation when composing on a computer.
Other features include customizable template strips for software instruments and DAWs, backlit Mod and Pitch wheels, Cubase LE software and USB bus power.
Alesis CEO Jack O’Donnell commented, “The Photon X49 was designed for the performer who demands more creative options from their MIDI controller.”
