sonar 4Cakewalk, developer of the leading music and sound software for Windows, has announced Cakewalk Training, hands-on, accelerated learning courses, developed and offered in cooperation with ProMedia Training, the leader in accelerated audio and related multimedia training for individuals and corporations.

Cakewalk Training courses have been masterfully designed to provide students with a wealth of hands on training and knowledge that will make a significant difference in the quality of their productions. Craig Anderton, the world’s foremost SONAR expert, will provide hand’s on instruction on how to use SONAR proficiently and take advantage of its extremely powerful features.

The two courses being offered are:

SONAR Insider

This two-day course focuses on the skills and techniques needed to use SONAR efficiently in the real-life applications of recording, mixing, and mastering. It explores a wealth of options including workflow optimization, combining SONAR with other applications through ReWire, creative use of instrument and processing plug-ins, Groove Clip looping, and mixing/mastering techniques.

All About Looping

All About Looping is a one-day course covering all aspects of using SONAR for loop-based music creation, and is essential for those working in digital music media today, whether for purely musical or audio-for-video applications. Students will come out of the class able to create their own loops, optimize commercially-available loops, and most importantly, apply them in musical, cutting-edge ways.
