MacJams.com and Tune Media have announced the availability of a free collection of Apple loops for users of GarageBand, Logic, or other compatible programs.

The collection, Tune-up Mini, is an extension of Tune Media’s Tune-up for GarageBand series of loops. Tune-up Mini contains over 100 high quality loops composed and recorded especially for this package and not available anywhere else. Anyone can download the Tune-up Mini loops for free at MacJams.com (free registration required).

MacJams.com is an online community of musicians using Macintosh computers. MacJams members can share tips with one another, collaborate with other musicians, and share their original compositions with others using MacJam’s unlimited artist upload space. The MacJams community has over 8,000 artist members, and there are nearly 6,000 songs available for listening and download.

In addition, MacJams is hosting a song competition to award the top songs made with the loops from Tune-up Mini. Prizes include an iPod Shuffle, MacMice GarageKey keyboards, and Tune Media’s Tune-up Extreme loops.
