Frankfurt Musikmesse: Wizoo Debuts High End Room Emulator

Wizoo Verb W2Frankfurt Musikmesse: Wizoo debuted their new WizooVerb series of high-end reverbs.

W2 is a true stereo plug reverb. Like the big surround brother W5 (following in June), W2 allows creating room emulations either based on impulse responses or by a proprietary algorithm – and even allows for arbitrary combination of both technologies. In a nutshell: Unbeatable realism and creative options at the same time, in one reverb.

The so-called High Definition Impulse Responses (HDIR) raise the benchmark of reverb quality to a new level. This new generation of impulse responses marks a new era in terms of quality and transparency as well as accuracy of the spatial reproduction – all the way through the production chain. HDIR creates the vivid impression of a signal source placed in a real room.

Existing impulse responses can be loaded and – thanks to a proprietary algorithm – optimized, resulting in a significantly better reproduction of the original room.

W2 will be available by the end of April at 249,- $ MSRP.
