Unipoint micsAudio-Technica has reengineered the UniPoint Series, utilizing breakthrough audio and mechanical design improvements to set new standards for sonic quality, durability, clarity, reliability and ease of installation. Their consistent ability to deliver exceptionally intelligible audio reproduction ensures the UniPoint Series mics can meet the criteria of any sound installation.

New features for the A-T UniPoint Series include UniGuard™ RFI-shielding innovations for unsurpassed immunity from radio frequency interference, new interchangeable condenser elements (cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional and UniLine™ line cardioid), superior off-axis rejection for improved gain before feedback, 80 Hz UniSteep® filter for removal of unwanted low frequencies without affecting vocal quality, two-stage foam windscreen for dramatically improved resistance to P-pops and other breath blasts, and much more. With more than 30 new hanging, gooseneck, boundary and handheld microphones, the UniPoint line offers an innovation for every acoustical challenge.

The new UniPoint podium microphones offer UniGuard RFI-shielding technology for outstanding rejection of radio frequency interferences, and an improved, easy-to-adjust gooseneck with virtually no “memory,” permitting quick positioning into desired shape. The gooseneck’s robust design also resists inadvertent repositioning. Clear, high-output performance is assured by new interchangeable condenser elements available in four pickup patterns: cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional and the new miniature-shotgun UniLine with its tight 90º pickup pattern.

The next-generation UniPoint boundary microphones are engineered for maximum flexibility; most models incorporate Audio-Technica’s new, unique PivotPoint™ rotating output connector that allows the cable to exit from either the rear or the bottom of the microphone. The U891R, U891RW and U891RC boundary mics feature programmable switching plus an LED status indicator for a high level of control flexibility in conference and boardroom applications.

The latest UniPoint hanging microphones are designed for suspension over choirs, instrumental groups and theater stages. The hanging microphones feature a low-profile design, available in black or white. New interchangeable capsules (cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional and UniLine) offer improved on-axis pickup. With robust construction and unobtrusive appearance, these hanging mics offer sophisticated and versatile sound reinforcement solutions.

The UniPoint U873R handheld hypercardioid microphone utilizes the newest low-mass condenser technology for superior performance and smooth, accurate vocal reproduction. Interchangeable elements (cardioid and omnidirectional) are also available, permitting selection of polar pattern. The new U873R provides improved on-axis response, resulting in extraordinary sonic quality and maximum off-axis rejection for outstanding gain before feedback. Its special internal shock mounting eliminates handling and cable noise.

Audio-Technica pioneered full-line miniaturization with the original UniPoint Series of professional-use installed-sound microphones, introduced in 1985. The new A-T UniPoint mics offer the utmost in versatility and dependability for corporate, institutional, civic, educational and religious installations — redefining performance standards to address the increasing demand for high-quality, integrated audio solutions in boardrooms, schools, courtrooms, council chambers, galleries and houses of worship. Regardless of acoustic constraints, the Audio-Techncia UniPoint Series achieves the ultimate in clarity and comfortable audibility whether capturing speech or music, and helps overcome auditory distractions with natural, pleasing sound reproduction.

The new UniPoint Series will be available in June 2005.
