iCompositions, a community for sharing music made with Apple’s GarageBand, has partnered with Perimeter Sound Arts to give away what they describe as “the largest package of free Apple Loops in history.”

The collection, available exclusively for registered users of iCompositions, consists of 264 loops and joins existing free packages available from iCompositions, bringing iCompositions members more than 780 free Apple Loops.

A newcomer to the Apple Loops market, Perimeter Sound Arts has converted many of their loops packages that were popular in other formats to the Apple Loops format. The iCompositions and Perimeter Sound Arts teams chose their best loops to create this collection of free Apple Loops.

The loops package is part of iCompositions’ second birthday celebration, which also includes a contest featuring a grand prize containing an iPod video and Artist Podcasts.
