GPA Gemini Power AmpNAMM 2006 Winter Show: Gemini announced the latest addition to their professional audio catalog, the GPA Series of Professional Power Amplifiers.

The GPA Series Power Amplifiers provide the user with an excellent value for a wide range of intermediate power applications. Boasting impedance handling down to 4 ohms, the GPA amplifiers deliver such high-end features as bi-polar output stage technology, comprehensive protection circuitry to prevent overheating, and a “front-to-rear airflow” cooling fan to preserve thermal stability.

“When designing the GPA amplifiers, we wanted to create the most affordable match of price and performance,” said Louis Dorio, Product Specialist at Gemini Sound Products Corp, “We truly believe that the GPA series will exceed all expectations for the price range.”

The GPA series features four powerful units, including the GPA-4000 ($449.95 MSRP), GPA-3000 ($369.95 MSRP), GPA-2000 ($309.95 MSRP) and GPA-1000 ($259.95 MSRP), each one coming standard with dual-channel volume controls, dual VU meters, balanced XLR and ¼” inputs, ¼” and Speakon™ outputs, and removable rack ears.

The GPA Professional Power Amplifier series promises to deliver optimum performance at all power levels while continuing Gemini’s tradition of bringing their customers the high-end features they seek with an affordable price tag. something to think about

When Mozart was composing at the end of the eighteenth century, the city of Vienna was so quiet that fire alarms could be given verbally, by a shouting watchman mounted on top of St. Stefan’s Cathedral. In twentieth-century society, the noise level is such that it keeps knocking our bodies out of tune and out of their natural rhythms. This ever-increasing assault of sound upon our ears, minds, and bodies adds to the stress load of civilized beings trying to live in a highly complex environment. — Stephen Halpern
