cakewalk raptureCakewalk has released the second round in the series of free Expansion Packs for Rapture and Dimension Pro synthesizers for Mac and PC.

This latest release follows quickly in the footsteps of the first Expansion Packs released in July. Series 1 and Series 2 Expansion Packs are available now as free downloads to registered Rapture and Dimension Pro.

“The first series of Expansion Packs were such a huge hit with our users, and personally a joy to play, that I couldn’t wait to get started on a second series,” said René Ceballos, lead developer for the Cakewalk Instruments line. “For the second series of Expansion Packs, I feel fortunate to have worked with a very talented team of designers and content providers including Nucleus Soundlabs, Loopmasters, and Frank Genus. I think our customers will be happier than ever with these new sounds.”

Rapture Expansion Pack 2 highlights

  • 350 new professional sound programs by Frank Genus and René Ceballos.
  • 140 MB of new wavetables and multisamples.
  • New programs expand the factory sound set with new Basses, Drums, Keys, Leads, Film Textures and Sound Effects, Micropiano, Pads, Sequences, Sweeps, and more.
  • Sample content by Nucleus Labs

Dimension Pro Expansion Pack 2 highlights:

  • 350 new professional sound programs by Frank Genus and René Ceballos.
  • 120 MB of new multisamples.
  • New programs expand the factory sound set with new Digital and FM sounds, Dimensions, Drums, Electric Pianos, Drum n’ Bass Breaks, Hip Hop Breaks, Guitars, Leads and Keys, Orchestral Sounds, Organs, Real and Synth Basses, Reeds and Brass, Sweeps, Analog, Pads, and more.
  • Loopmasters sample content includes Hip-Hop and Drum n’ Bass grooves in REX2 format.
