The Freesound Project, a site for sharing samples that can be freely shared and used in music, has announced a remix contest.

Remix The People Competition

• Download: http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/packsViewSingle.php?id=1563
• Make a song, a soundscape, a collage!
• Upload to ccmixter and tag accordingly ( http://ccmixter.org/freesound )
• Only cutting/pasting, some basic processing (eq, compressor, etc…) is allowed
• Deadline is before the end of 2006, worldwide
• I’m the only judge Razz
• Only use samples from that pack.
• Not more than 2 entries per person
