2007 Winter NAMM Show: Metasonix introduced the TM-7 Ultra-Distortion Scrotum Smasher, the latest lo-fi tube-based sound mangler from the mind of Eric Barbour.
Barbour has described his modules as brain destroying, meaty, bizarre, crude, nasty, powerful and evil, and the Scrotum Smasher looks to be no exception.
The TM-7 joins his other tube-based creations, including the TM-1 Waveshaper, TM-2 Filter, TM-3 Oscillator, TM-5 Preamp and the TM-6 Multimode Filter, as some of the most unusual audio devices made.
If you think Barbour has gotten over the bizarre anal fetish that exposed itself with his TX-2 Butt Probe, though, you’re only partially right.
Checking the controls, you’ll find:
- Smash
- Scrotum
- Double Scrotum
- Mega Scrotum and…..
- Scrotum Up Ya Ass
If you think that the TM-7 might be a nice effect to feed your new age pad patches through, Barber notes “There is no bypass. Only Zu’ul.”
