Digitech vocalist live vocal processor

2007 NAMM Show: DigiTech, a manufacturer of musical instrument signal processors, and a Harman International, announced two new vocal effects processors – the Vocalist Live 2 and Vocalist Live 4 vocal harmony and effects floor processors for performing guitarists.

Utilizing DigiTech’s MusIQ technology, the Vocalist Live processors generate intelligent, multi-part vocal harmonies using the singer’s voice. These harmonies automatically detect and change key, depending on the chords that are played on the guitar. The Vocalist Live 2 produces 1 or 2 part harmonies, while the Vocalist Live 4 can create 1, 2, 3 or 4 part harmonies, selectable to harmonize in unison or at a 3rd, 5th or octave above or below the lead vocal. Additionally, effects such as Pitch Correction, Compressor, Reverb and EQ are included, as well as an onboard chromatic tuner.

The Vocalist Live 2 feature set includes:

  • 1 or 2 part vocal harmony using MusIQ™ technology that detects the guitar chord being played, and produces the correct harmony for that chord/key
  • Selectable unison, 3rd, 5th above or below the lead vocal
  • Effects; Compressor, Reverb and EQ
  • On board guitar tuner
  • XLR mic /line with level adjustment, low-noise preamp and 48V phantom power

  • Stereo 1/4″ line out and mono XLR out
  • Rugged road worthy all-metal chassis
  • Power supply included

The Vocalist 4 feature set includes:

  • 1, 2, 3 or 4 part vocal harmony using MusIQ™ technology that detects the guitar chord being played, and produces the correct harmony for that chord/key

  • Effects; Compressor, Reverb and EQ
  • Store and recall 50 presets

      something to think about

If you watch any good player, they’re using different parts of their body and working with instruments that respond to those movements. They’re moving in many dimensions at once. — Brian Eno
