Sonnox plugins

Musikmesse: Sony Oxford Plugins will be sold under the new name of Sonnox, effective April 2007.

In addition to continuing to support and promote the existing range of Oxford Plug-ins: EQ, Dynamics, Limiter, Inflator, Reverb and Transient Modulator, the new company will be concentrating on new innovations to expand the product line.

“The Sony Oxford Plugins reputation for quality and performance reflects the pedigree of our products,” says Sonnox Managing Director, Rod Densham. “As an independent company with global recognition, we are dedicated to improving and expanding these tools. We are confident Sonnox can look forward to a future of continued growth, starting with the launch of our Native versions for Audio Units and VST at Musikmesse 2007.”

Sonnox launched a full native range of its Oxford Plug-ins at Musikmesse this week. Compatible with Audio Units, VST and RTAS applications such as Logic, Digital Performer, Cubase, Nuendo and Pro Tools LE, the new range has been widely anticipated by users of native workstations.

“The demand for true native compatibility for Oxford Plug-ins has grown dramatically over the past eighteen months,” Eames reports. “We are delighted to be showing all our native plug-ins on Logic and Cubase at this year’s Musikmesse. The initial interest after launching the first three Audio Units versions in January has been genuinely overwhelming, with many users indicating their preference for the Oxford 6 Pack bundle when all the plug-ins are compatible with their platform.”

      something to think about

Though I may have the pleasure of discovering musical processes and composing the musical material to run through them, once the process is set up and loaded it runs by itself. — Steve Reich
