Prosoniq has announced that version 2 of TimeFactory time and pitch manipulation software is shipping. They ask all customers who have purchased version 1.7 or higher after January 1st, 2007 to claim their free upgrade by submitting a short note with a proof of purchase with their 1.x serial number, or the relevant Prosoniq support ticket ID via their online contact form.
TimeFactory 2 comes as native Universal Binary optimized for both PowerPC and Intel Mac models (MacOS X 10.4.9 or better). It supports multiple file formats and sample rates up to 384kHz and contains Prosoniq’s legacy TimeFactory I MPEX2 time stretching, as well as the newer MPEX3, ClearScale and DIRAC algorithms which are used in all major high-end audio editing programs on the market.
Prosoniq is also releasing the first update for the new Universal Binary MacOS X TimeFactory 2, which addresses some minor issues that were present in version 2.0.0. Additionally, this new version now features a realtime preview while processing as well as providing better import capabilities by including all audio files in subdirectories. The update is recommended for all TimeFactory 2 users and can be downloaded off the Prosoniq web site in the download -> updates category. A new demo version is also available.
