Modern Beats has released a new clap sample library, Klub Klapz 2.

We’re a little amazed that some people think that there’s a need for a second library of clap samples…but then I’ve been known to be seen wearing a “More cowbell” t-shirt.

The library features over 415 warm, organic clap samples and clap patterns representing the latest trends in Hip Hop production. All claps were recorded using high-end class A mic preamps and microphones including: the AKG C-12, Neumann U-87, Beyerdynamic M160 Ribbon, Schoeps BLM-03C, Brauner Valvet, Studio Projects C-1, and more.

Klub Klapz 2 styles include ModernBeats’ own signature designs, plus numerous styles modeled after the Hip Hop producers Timbaland, DJ Premier, Neptunes, Pete Rock, Storch, Lil Jon, Trak Starz, Trackboyz, and Dre. The set is organized into 8 user-friendly categories of claps: Klassic Klapz, Tight Klapz, XXL Klapz, Loose Klapz, Solo Klapz, Mono Klapz, FX Klapz, and Klap Patternz at tempos 87, 92, 97 bpm.

The sample library features 13 multi-format presets that automatically load all 415+ claps samples and patterns into your software sampler of choice: Reason NN-XT (.SXT), EXS24 (.EXS), Kontakt (.NKI), Battery (.KIT), Halion (.FXP), Soundfont (.SF2), and WAV (.WAV). Compatible with Fruity Loops, Acid Pro, Cubase, Sonar, and ProTools. The library is offered as a download and is priced at $29.95.

Ambient Music must be able to accomodate many levels of listening attention without enforcing one in particular; it must be as ignorable as it is interesting. — Brian Eno
