G-Sonique has introduced Alien 303, which they call the ultimate synthesizer primarily aimed to generate psytrance basslines.

Though the Alien 303 is based on vintage 303 concept, it offers many more features, and its sound spectrum and possibilities are different from the other solutions. According to G-Sonique, the Alien 303 delivers sharper, more digital and more tougher sounds.

I’m interested in making Psytrance music on my home PC, and was searching for a software synth that would enable me to get those fat Psytrance bassline sounds I’d been hearing, I downloaded/installed the Alien303 demo version and tried it out, instantly I knew my search had come to an end, so I’ll be getting the full version of this awesome sounding soft synth for sure.

    It’d be cool if the makers could release a Mac version, but I think an acceptable workaround could be a VST to AU (Mac Audio Units), or RTAS (Mac/PC Protools Real Time Audio Suite) wrapper.
