FWIW, Tascam PR guy, there's 2 Zoom's out there already that do a great job, slightly bigger, but same price bracket. PLUS you get 48V phantom power on the H4. FWIW, Tascam PR guy, there’s 2 Zoom’s out there already that do a great job, slightly bigger, but same price bracket. PLUS you get 48V phantom power on the H4.

That said, the DR-1 certainly -looks- great, and won’t get the “uh, is that a taser?” type reactions that the H4 does.
