This Reactable demo from AHNE 2008 highlights a great DIY project.
Do you think this is an instrument, though, or more of a music toy?

Barcelona, Italy. Right.
I wonder if University of Massachusetts is accredited?

Good catch. Maybe Barcelona, Italy, is a secret hotbed of awesome synth design.
What do you think about the Reactable, though? Cool new instrument or more of a sexy music toy?
You should really link the real thing (http://reactable.iua.upf.edu/) instead of theese guys, who haven’t even finished their table in the video. The real thing is much more developed and useable.
I see it more as a interface for music making, than a musical instrumnet and i think that is what they were going for in the first place.
asger – we’ve highlighted a bunch of other Reactable videos, too.
