The ATTIGO TT is a futuristic DJ controller, created by Scott Hobbs, a student at Dundee University studying innovative product design.
He’s created a touch screen turntable that’s pretty f****** awesome! It lets you loop, sample and scratch wave forms just as you would a record. The size of the touchtable is approximately the same as a standard turntable, making the physical interaction nearly the same.
If you look closely in the video, though, Hobbs is scratching the actual waveform.
This looks very cool - but I’d like to see more abstraction away from the “two turntable” paradigm to allow for open-ended sound manipulation that may have not been possible with turntables.
The ATTIGO TT is currently a working prototype, and Scott is looking for manufacturers to partner with.

This seems so cool to me
Okay i love the good old days too, but imagine what will be invented in the next 10 years or so.
I wonder if the sound will be different using this scratch table.
This is gonna be weird, funk flex would like this.
Very cool! I think that the development process will yield different takes on the art form and produce some astounding new ways to interact with the audience and gear.
I love how this takes the idea of scratching and takes it into the 21st century.
I’d like to see a pro hit this!
Maybe there’s a little latency and not accuracy due to touch-screen control as happends for Jazzmutant’s lemur…
anyway cool Idea
