2008 Summer NAMM Show: Yamaha announced the new MM8 Music Synthesizer.

Like the MM6, the MM8 features sounds from the popular Motif Series, real-time control, computer integration and adds an 88-note Graded Hammer action Yamaha keyboard.

“The MM8 has all the great sounds and features of the MM6 in a full-size package,” said Yamaha’s Athan Billias. “It’s a ‘players’ synth for the stage or studio and will integrate easily with any set-up.”

Drawing on more than 100 years of creating acoustic pianos, Yamaha’s GHS keys respond like those of a grand piano, weighted heavier on the lower notes and gradually becoming lighter up the keyboard for expressive control over the sound.

The MM8 will be available in July, 2008 for a retail price of $1,299.99.
