I saw this Klaus Schulze video featured at Matrix’ site.

While the video is interesting, Klaus Schulze’s track, Frank Herbert from his 1978 double album “X”, is just completely techno.

The biggest difference between this and later techno is that Schulze has always explored longer forms, instead of creating shorter tracks.

Give this a listen and tell me that Schulze wasn’t techno!

    Totally techno.

X is one of Schulze’s better albums, except for a couple of more orchestral tracks, where the orchestra sounds like it was recorded in a tin can.

I just want to know where I can pick you up a techno jumpsuit for your birthday, so you can look the part when you geek out up in the studio. Any ideas?
