The bufferless mode is almost useless for music production or live use beacause you cannot stop and start the loop in order to re-sync. It just mutes with the stop button. The display does not count the beats when recording. Besides that - what a lovely toy!

With memory this cheap, yeah, OR put an SD memorycard slot into it and let us buy the memory ourselves! That way, we might even be able to bring the loops out of the machine a digital way .. (but hey, there are other more expensive machines doing that I'm sure ..)

I love the hack anyway, and (tip) when it is hacked and u select the bar length during running loop and change (shortening) bar length, it alters the loop straight away. Chopped-up crazy sounds! Lovely!

With memory as cheap as it is, you gotta wonder why Korg couldn't spring for enough for 4 stinking bars!

It worked for me - you get the 4 bars. But it when you are recording it doesn't give a readout of which beat you are on (so you have to count in your head). Also you can't store a loop to act as an undo - I'm guessing the hack uses all the available memory for the loop-in-progress.
