  1. Dance music as we know it today was started by a DJ playing a drum machine over disco at the Warehouse.

    I think this is a golden-age of sorts of DJing invention now that portable computers & software are up to the task of live capabilities like this. Dj’s are coming up with great ways to enhance their sets, form playing live keyboards during their sets, to creative and inventiveness like this.

    The dudes doing things differently & experimenting are going to go somewhere while the complainers disappear, right? 🙂

  2. BlueBrat – I’m with you on this, but I think that computer DJ’s have to go a long way to make their sets more interesting to watch as performances.

    Too often, it looks like computer Djs are checking their mail, rather than making music an interacting with the audience.
