Shocking news: Spanish booking agency Class Concept International has published an open letter to the industry, claiming that DJ Mari Ferrari, aka “the best topless DJ of Russia”, is a fake, a phony and a scam.
According to Class Concept:
“This supposed female DJ from Russia during her performance at the event was playing from a tiny CD wallet (the same as the one we use in the car normally) an already pre-mixed music set from one or two CDs, and she was faking the movements of a real DJ, when she wasn´t really doing it for real, just acting.”
“All the people involved in the event who were in the DJ box at the time, including DJs, promoters and camera men from Fashion TV, realised that she wasn´t mixing the music and was just making fake movements and touching the mixer to pretend to the crowd that she was really doing it, but in fact she wasn´t and it was purely a fraud.”
“She was just more occupied with dancing and shaking her head in the DJ box and was just too busy with her dancing movements to get involved in any kind of beat-matching or mixing.”
Based on this, Class Concept says that Mari Ferrari and promoters Girldjs.ru are giving DJs “a bad reputation and worst of all, they are making and taking the money from the other serious female/male DJs that are working hard constantly to get it.”
All I have to say is that you can’t call your company “Class Concept” and then complain because the topless DJ that you hired sucked!

I´m just shocked when i read this and what i have to say is that class concept is a serious agency (i work with them in the past, so i know) but after asking the GM a good friend of mine they told me that this idea to book this topless dj was from the event promoter that insist totally in a topless female dj, so they contact this other agency in Russia and they send the mixes, bio, etc to them…but finally was a false information and it feels very difficult to notice that scam until you see it with you eyes what is happend…so is not class concept responsability or fault, but his customer from the event and russian agency sending false information about this topless djs..
I have another friend called portia surreal and she do this show, but real! she mix during she make a fetish/topless show…so..i see this scam is incredible shit and giving us (female djs) a bad reputation in this busines..
i feel that what class concept have done sending this letter to the industry is right, so they can prevent that other promoters fall in the same fraud..
So for my side, big up to class concept and this russia agency, hope your business finnish very soon..

Is true what this agency class concept told, I see this girl once in a pub/club and she was not djing because in many of the mixes she was dancing like a crazy gogo more than doing dj. Afterwards my friends and me that we was near the dj cabin see her just making like if a dj was but in fact she wasn´t because the mixes not match with what she was doing at that time..nice that someone have the balls to put this news to all the people..hi five man!

She sent me a Friend Request on MySpace and I was about to Deny it – “topless” DJs are really tacky – but then I saw a YouTube video on her page where she is mixing (in what looks like a radio studio) and you can tell it is real.
So I don’t see why she just doesn’t DJ normally (not topless) – getting her tits out means she will never be taken seriously – which is a shame if she can actually mix and is properly into music etc.
MARI – lose the stupid fucking name (Ferrari), put some clothes on, and go and DJ for real. You’ll end up much happier.
Rather Not – problem with your suggestions is that the music industry is male dominated and Mari would be competing against thousands of other talented female DJs.
Unless you’re extremely lucky, you have to find a niche to exploit to make it in music.
