Unsaid (but assumed) is that they’ll once again play few if any of the songs from the ’80s that people actually want to hear and more of the most annoying bits of SOFAD and EXCITER that no one but the band itself actually likes listening to.

The PLAYING THE ANGEL disc is largely unlistenable, imho, and I’m one of their biggest fans. Gore’s songwriting has gone steadily downhill over the last decade and Gahan should stick to singing.

I thought “Suffer Well” was a great song, and that was penned by Gahan.

    Gahan’s Kingdom song is beautiful.

  4. 4 Fauve

Gahan’s “Nothing’s Impossible” is amazing… But unfortunately, Depeche Mode doesn’t know where Switzerland is…

      something to think about

What is important is neither linearity or non-linearity, but the change, the degree of change from something that doesn’t move to other events with different tempos in particular. — Karlheinz Stockhausen
