chevthewizard’s demo of HandMidi, a device that sends MIDI notes depending on how close your hand is to the optical sensor, is pretty cool:
“In this video I’ve used it instead to control the FILTER on a synth in Ableton, and I’m playing the notes on the Korg nanoKey. So as I lift the actual nanoKey into the air the filter opens up on the synth.”
Next time, though, maybe a little more time with the camera on your gear would be in order.
