yeah i got lots of trouble understanding what the big deal is? their genius comes from what they do with those samples, not the samples themselves
and besides, most people do it - and much worst/ look at fucking tiesto for starters

50 cent samples more shit than justice and i guarantee hes not clearing all those small samples the ho could get from old 70s funk songs that no one remembers.. but its all good cuz theres so much music now that it really doesnt matter what your music sounds like cuz most likely theres a second of your song that matches some other second.. but not the whole song and what it means..

Fuck you. Justice is god. just because they sample shit doesn't have anything to do with how good of musicians they are. Whats the point of bitching about it? They're Ed Bangers most successful artists for a reason. they make incredible music sampling or not.

So Justice is sampling 50 Cent? They should try harder, I mean REALLY-
First they get busted for faking it onstage, now it seems that don't even try in the studio! Who the hell signed these posers? Justice Sucks,
just like all 'christian rock'. (Justice claims to be xian on their myspace,
but they are probably faking that too.)

Ya, there's always the risk, but in theory that should be fine.

From what I understand, the spirit of the copyright laws is that you can't sample anything that is clearly important to the original work.

So, if they sampled 50 cent saying "Go Go Go Go Shorty" from In Da Club, they'd probably have to get that cleared, since it's such a fundamental sound byte to the original song.

If they sampled a Brian May power chord from a Queen album, maybe that chord/sound by itself isn't vital to the original work - no worries there.

I can't see anything wrong in using small unrecognizable samples.
