This is a quick video demonstrating using TouchOSC ito extend the functionality of a MIDI keyboard.

Novation 25SL Compact and TouchOSC controlling Ableton 7 and a Access Virus Snow.

This looks ultra cool – but I think the main reason this is getting any attention is that people have been lusting after the JazzMutant Lemur for several years.

Let me know what you think – musically useful, or just a bit of eye candy?

heya, just thought i would respond to your question regarding if its just eye candy..

i guess the thing i really liked about touchosc was i could access many different control interfaces thru a single device.. the novation is a great, but the ability to quickly jump between XY or faders or drum pads was the motivation of integrating the ipod into my live rig..

otherwise i would have just have had the ipod floating around on the table..

also, its super responsive.. touchosc that is.

      something to think about

I would love to have a box onto which I could offload choice making. A thing that makes choices about its outputs, and says to itself, This is a good output, reinforce that, or replay it, or feed it back in. I would love to have this machine stand for me. I could program this box to be my particular taste and interest in things. — Brian Eno
