It ain't just for flying. In bigger cites you gotta deal with stairs, buses, trains, subways, lots of other people, elevators. So, on a completely local level, this thing rocks. It would fit in ANY CAR.

I want a Nord Stage 76 that folds. That'd save me $400 R/T each time I flew with it, versus the conventional design. Clavia? Are you listening?

Matthew (Stretta) - good point on the poly AT/release.

The pricing will be a show-stopper for most people, though.

I hope they do well just because no one is building a keyboard with both poly AT and release velocity.

I don't need the folding feature , and I'd prefer a semi-weighted, synth action instead of a weighted piano action, but maybe if they sell a good number of these they can expand to other models.

The market for gigging keyboard musicians who need to fly with their controller is... not large. If you're flying to a gig is is so difficult to get a backline company to supply a MIDI controller?

It is a great idea. Very specific items for specific markets do cost more s that is not new. I'm sure, if the cash comes in they will bring other foldable models with a cheaper price. Do i need one? nope! but for someone who gigs around a lot that could be great it has a LCD screen..so more power thru upcoming software update...

I wish them the best... create jobs..create oportunities..and let the free market decide...

It has polyphonic aftertouch, velocity prefix and release velocity amongst other very desirable features. This is big folks.

This seems like a gimmick. The folding thing is nice - but it also seems like it could be a new opportunity for something to break.

Also, the price is insane!
