The Carnegie Mellon School of Music will host the New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME) Conference June 4 – 6, 2009 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In its ninth year, this international conference provides the opportunity to explore the interdisciplinary creations of artists and scientists.

The School of Music will provide ensemble performances for participants ranging from solo and chamber music to orchestral music utilizing interactive and electro-acoustic components. NIME 2009 will feature a variety of workshops, papers, posters, demonstrations, and performances.
