This is a undated video for Marek Bilinski‘s Dom w Dolinie Mgie?.

According to Seedgroup:

He is one of the most famous Polish composers and multi – instrumentalists, using the newest, electronic keyboard instruments. He is an alumni of the Academy of Music in Poznan (Music College in Poznan).

Marek Bilinski’s compositions deduces from the best standards of classical and romantic music. His talent and knowledge unite tradition with vision of modern world sounds.

As the first in Poland and in this part of Europe, following the steps of Jean-Michel Jarre, he performed great outdoor concerts of music and light in Szczecin (93) and Krakow (94), which were viewed together by 50,000 spectators. Marek Bilinski was awarded as the best composer and virtuoso of synthesizers in 1995 in the Polish professional magazine “Music”.

Though he’s one of the most famous Polish composers and multi – instrumentalists, using the newest, electronic keyboard instruments, Marek Bilinski and his neo Berlin-school sounds are new to me.

Let me know if you’ve got any information on Marek Bili? Bilinski in the comments!

  1. Marek Bili?ski was a bit popular in Poland in my youth, read 80s of XX century, at least then you could see and hear him in the national (state) television. He went to Kuwait and returned in the 90s but I don’t recall hearing about him too often since then.

Well, as a strictly electronic musician is is probably one of the most known in Poland mostly because we didn’t have many of them during the communist days. The electronic instruments were practically non-existent here (I’m not counting Russian knock-offs), extremely expensive and not many musicians could start such careers. Someone who could did surely generated some interest (no offense to Mr. Billi?ski and his musical skills).

The composition is from about 1984.

  2. In my opinion Marek Bilinski is better musician than Jarre. I made three covers of his track, because i can’t find any midi, or notation.
    Greetings from Poland!!!
