The Prodigy – Warrior’s Dance – uncut

Warrior’s Dance is the second single from the album Invaders Must Die, to be released 11th May 2009.

The first 40 seconds of this track made me think that The Prodigy had died, gone to hell and then been reincarnated as dance divas. Then the massive bassline kicked in and redeemed the track.

Let me know what you think of The Prodigy’s Warrior’s Dance!

I dunno. Far from my favorite song on the album, I think Thunder would have been a much better choice

It has a gritty 90s imprint all over it, which is great. The breakbeats are kind of reminiscent of early jungle, like Rob Playford productions.

It’s funny because Fischerspooner and other electro-heads are credited with reviving the sound of the 80s, and here are Prodigy, reliving the rave glory days and going further. A very catchy song, like every other track on the album.

The video style reminds me of Tool’s stop-motion.

Not so big on the vocals but the beats and bass kick it very nice.

      something to think about

The more constraints one imposes, the more one frees one’s self. And the arbitrariness of the constraint serves only to obtain precision of execution. — Igor Stravinsky
