As both a dub fan and artist I can say I am horrified by the notion that someone might try to cash in on the dub aesthetic with a 'device'. I suppose it is harmless enough for the casual user who is just 'screwing around' and maybe even a 'gateway' to those who may actually go further into the art of dub. However, if anyone thinks that dub is just some formulaic system to apply to mainstream songwriting then they are extremely mistaken. I pray every night that dub stays pure and is NEVER part of the mainstream !!!
