TR-606 clocking Serge with audio – this video demos a technique you can use with most vintage drum machines to sync tempos with a modular synth and some old keyboard synthesizers, too.

You really use audio to sync it all !
I am always using midiclock http://www.midiclock.com/ to do such things,
but with non midi gear of course , you can't use it.
