hi observer
I change the pitch with the fret buttons on the neck that aready were on the original toy guitar. And i cant really change the synth patch because its 3 hard-wired 555 ics that make only squarewaves. Maybe i could make them produce triangle waves but an electric guitar with distortion makes square waves too. I already thought about the release time too but i really built this the simplest way i could figure out and its just like on/off atm. This is a very first version and i built it to see if i could do it and if it can be played (sortof).
Thank you for your hints, i'll consider that when im making the next version.

Cool... But how are you changing the pitch? Plus, IMO, I think it would be a cooler demo vid if you made a synth patch that is more string like, or at least had a longer release and then pitch the 3 triggers so it makes a chord and then you kind of strummed the lazers.
