Well hopefully Movement 2010 will be a thrust in the right direction with Carl Craig back as a creative partner.

I wouldn't say that DEMF imploded, it just took the route of every other 'festival'. There were still some amazing bands this year and well worth the money. Not to mention the best place for people watching of all time. It's been a long time since it was the free underground show that it used to be, but still a great experience. RJD2 I would say was the highlight this year.

DEMF imploded several years ago. Movement 2009 is a new festival, for better or worse, that carries on DEMF's legacy.

Question: how is the crowd of 83K people a record? The first year of the festival, then called DEMF, brought (depending on who you ask) between 500K and 1.5M people. As an artist who performed there the first year, I can tell you that the crowds then were MUCH larger than now. But then, in 2000 the event was completely free and also new.

So is the record attendance they claim since "Movement" became the name/entity?
