In this vid, we chop up a sample and make a beat within 10 minutes.

Doesn’t get any easier than that.

I have a good feeling about this. The product seems really straightforward. It's not a revolutionary product that does anything new. Instead, it seems the Beat Kangs have focused on creating a drum machine that improves upon what others have already done. From what the video shows, I think they nailed it…. BUT I hope this thing autochops and stretches, and the sampler is robust. BEAT KANGS PLEASE release a more detailed spec sheet or a down-loadable .PDF manual soon!

I must say the more i learn about it the more i think it is the perfect MPC. Yes time stretching and other options are cool BUT i hope OS 1.0 is bug free even more. Anything else could be an upgrade further down the road.
Make sure to crush those bugs first!

      something to think about

The orchestral composer is open to all the problems and conceits of the architect, liable to be trapped in a form that is inherently nonimprovisational, nonempirical. I shouldn’t be so absurdly doctrinaire, but I have to say that I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass if I never heard another piece of such music. It provides almost nothing useful for me. — Brian Eno
