From 1977, French robotic space pop group The Droids do The Force, a bit of Star Wars inspired robo disco.

Yves Hayat (synthesizers and sequencers) formed Droids along with Richard Lornac on key board and Jean Paul Batailley on drums and tablas.

    Wow. This is great, it's got everything. A Solid Gold Dancer, Laser sounds, Vocoder… Actually holds up pretty well musically. (1:40=Oil Can, Oil Can!) I love it. Thanks for the post.
