Based one the first 30 seconds of the video, this video describes the version of GB that comes with iLive 08. That being said, it is a well done tutorial about the basic capabilities of the application. It will be interesting to see how much in depth the author gets into the inner workings of GB in future videos.

I think it was kind of pointless, actually. Why is he spending several minutes going on and on about compression (audio, not file) when he hasn't even demonstrated a basic recording yet?

      something to think about

Part of being a successful artist is to make amazing art, seemingly effortlessly. But this is the rub: to make amazing work you have to make a lot of stuff that kinda sucks.

That may seem obvious, but when you reach a place where you’re work is selling at a consistent pace and supporting yourself and your, ahem, habits, it’s very easy to feel like you’ve got it all dialed out.

Making work that sucks suddenly doesn’t seem like an option, it feels like a waste of time.
