The Stylophone Orchestra of Great Britain plays Kraftwerk’s classic, The Model.
The Dubreq Stylophone is a small stylus-operated analog synthesizer, invented in 1967 by Brian Jarvis.
The Stylophone features a metal keyboard that is played by touching it with a stylus. Three million Stylophones were sold, mostly as children’s toys.
The Stylophone was revived in 2007 by toy company Re:Creation, in conjunction with Dubreq. The new Stylophone S1 updates the 1960s original with a volume control and an audio jack so you can plug in an iPod and play along.
