cheap-samplerCasper Electronic has published a hack that lets you turn a craptacular $2 Saw toy into a cheaptacular digital sampler:

This awful figurine from the SAW movies is actually a pretty cool 30 second sample/playback module that’s easy to hack.

You can buy them here for $2 a pop from allelectronics.com. It’s almost worth the $2 just for the AAA batteries that come with it.

Horrible movie tie-in toys = bad.

Cheap electronics for hacking = good.

7$ for shipping! No thank you.

  2. 2 casper

$9 still isn't bad for a hackable sampler.
and the shipping isn't so bad per unit if you buy 20 of them:-)

      something to think about

My guitar only has five strings ’cause the top one broke and I decided not to put it back on: when I play chords I only play bar chords, and the top one always used to cut me there. — Brian Eno
