  1. Monitors and mixers are two things I actually trust Behringer to do well.
Really hoping to see some meaningful user reviews on these and the 5.25" version.
These will go for @$300US a pair I'm guessing so if they're GOOD…ridiculous bang for
    the buck.

  3. Behringer sells powerful music technology products for really cheap! I'm not anymore after their monitors and mixers, but i have to say that my old Truths helped me a lot with many projects before some years without having to spend a fortune…they were not perfect but they performed ten times better than their price…

Also, for studio use, all their small mixers have almost the same quality with Mackie's similar products…but they cost half the money!!

  6. On the Behringer website, virtually all of the Truth series monitors have a frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz.
How the F*CK can the low end specs of a 5 inch bass driver,be equal to that of an 8 inch driver?!!

Know what your buying before consider a Behringer product, because these motherf**kers are bleeding imbeciles!!

    1. impressive comment!!! you must be a pro.. But you are so wrong, any time a small speaker can have same response as a bigger one. Suggest you check max spl next time…
Or amp power, a high powered 5″ can produce same spl as a low powered 8″ (or 18 ) but will run out of life much faster at same output.
Have for 25 years installed much high end stuff ( EAW, Crown, soundweb, Crestron + + ) but also a lot of “lower end”, and can guarantee that i have never from Behringer got less than payed for so if budget is low, go for Behringer

  10. Easy.
a 5 inch driver can do 50Hz, but it depends on how it was measured. Do they say it responds exactly like the 8 inch or is it down 9 db from it's big brother?

    Speaking of bleeding imbeciles…

  11. Well, of course, there was the famous lawsuit when it was revealed that Behringer's mixer ROM had Mackie's security code burned in it… and all their control code too. This is how Behringer sell really cheap – by ripp – ahem, excuse me – 'reverse engineering' rival products. They're almost proud of it. I couldn't get a decent sound out of my Behringer practice amp until I found the manual on Tech 21's website. If there was any risk of dropping a mixer (or having it delivered by post), I'd pay for the Mackie.

I wonder who designed the – HA HA HA – "Truth" monitors for them?

  16. Yeah…that's precisely what I was told when I phoned Behringer…that the specs were based on measurements, which means absolutely nothing in contrast to actual performance in the studio.
I asked them what the actual roll off point was and they had no answers for me.If you bothered to read through most other manufacturer's spec sheets, they list the specs according to the performance of each specific model.
I was on the phone with Behringer for 20 minutes-long distance(which is a toll call) and it was a wasted effort.
Why do I get the feeling that Brent Millar is a Behringer employee?….that would explain the utter futility of this query….especially when all I have to do is just allow my ears to give me the answers.
Incidentally,I've owned the B3030A's for a few days now,& to my ears, the 3030A's perform at approximately 50Hz or slightly below.
Perhaps the staff at Behringer tech support should just adhere to their own company slogan and "Just Listen".

  18. "Just listen" haha… nice one.
About measurement vs studio performance, isn't measurement done "live" with the drivers playing sound? .. be it white noise, pink noise or whatever. Obviously, sound and level of bass response will differ based on what you're playing, kind of room you're playing in, and where in the room the speakers are placed.

  19. I own a pair of this series with 5'' bass drivers now for 2 years. They are extremely reliable and do a great job outside producing as well. The only thing that darkens the good performance is the noise even after switching them on independent from volume. I do not have any comparison of other active speakers but the press release lies if it says it is noise free.

  20. I loved the first Truths…until they started picking up Hoobastank’s “the reason” from a local radio station. If it were any other song, I would’ve just dealt with the complete lack of shielding….but, I don’t blame them…I have a soft spot for behringer. they always launch seemingly awesome products, but are always severely flawed….their ads are extremely offensive (showing factory workers in asia and giving them western names and absurd job descriptions – “tina chao is the quality control specialist! she makes sure everything is spot on!!!…anybody remember that one?) They make obscure proprietary power adapters for their 49 dollar mixers (which everyone ends up breaking and stealing from guitar center) But, they just keep chugging along….hats off to you behringer. may you live to see the end of the alesis 16 drum machine.

  21. So, Behringer are the only ones copying other’s ideas???
Strange, but I don’t mind as long as I get higher quality than I pay for and
with Behringer i have never got less than paid for.
For 25 years I have installed much high end stuff ( EAW, Crown, Soundweb + + ) but also much “lower end” like Behringer, Mackie + + and to the right customer it’s money saved.
