MattNasty has introduced a live sampling resequencer for Ableton Live and the Novation Launchpad

After having a Launchpad purchased for me by a friend, I went from thinking “awesome!” to thinking “how f$%%ing worthless!” in a matter of days. So I sat on it for a couple months during the M4L advent. I began thinking what do do with it. I wanted it to do what buffer shuffler would soon do. (And yes, I know its easy to make this with a looper and buffer shuffler)

But back to the development and what a launchpad can do-Well it can trigger notes. That’s cool, samplers are triggered by notes. But how can I trigger time? Midi racks can trigger time(an odd concept). So its an arpeggiator, much like on a late nineties workstation. One note triggers the generation of 8 notes, over 8-eighth notes of time. All I needed was a live buffer sampler. Splonki couldn’t handle the polyphony, ergo Liveslice.

See MattNasty’s site for details.
