New Vermona Lancet Synth To Take On DSI Mopho, Doepfer Dark Energy

Vermona has announced a couple of new synths, including a monosynth that looks like it will be competing against the Dave Smith Instrument Mopho and the Doepfer Dark Energy.

The Mono Lancet is a 2 VCO mono synth, while the Kick Lancet is a dedicated kick drum synth.

Both Lancet synthesizers are expected to arrive internationally in August/September 2010.

Details below.

Mono Lancet

  • 24dB lowpass filter
  • ADSR envelope generator (VCF, VCA, VCO)
  • LFO (triangle, square, s/h)
  • MIDI

Kick Lancet

  • based on the KICK channel of the DRM1 MKIII
  • Waveshaper (sine -> square)
  • FM
  • trigger inputs (switch, audio, gate)
  • MIDI

  1. it will most likely cost more, based on 3 things: 1- more knobs (also better ones) 2- its vermona, which means better components and higher quality build (DSIs new shit is cheap) and 3- IT SAYS IN THE PICTURE THAT IT WILL BE 450 euros, which means itll be about $600+more due to shipping and tax.

  2. and how much midi is implemented.. dave is og when it comes to the protocol.. sometimes midi is only implemented as far as basics: volume, velocity, etc.. another thing to keep in mind..dave's builds are cheap but it's the trade off.. the sound itself is great and you get tremendous value..

    if you're looking for a leg into cv then doepfer of course..
