And he’s connected them to create the ultimate unobtainable AudioGasmic multitouch audiovisual synthesizer!
Rudess is running his soon-to-be-released MorphWiz on his bottom iPad, and the AudioGasm visualizer on the top iPad.

One round of pity for the sad guy that identifies with a piece of equipment.
Apart from that: The worst Rudess gadget video I’ve seen so far. No direct audio, no keyboard wizardry, just flashy effects, and something you could do with any XY controller and a small program or synth. Pretty lame. However I like the idea of using two iPads, remindes me of the Nintendo DS. Would probably also make for an awesome ebook reader this way.
BTW, does anyone know whether he has some sort of endorser deal with Apple or if Apple even cares about such things?
